An Early Morning Walk

The early morning sun casting long shadows.

Drops of dew hanging from a bamboo shoot.

The sun was shining on this twig, making the drops sparkle.

Blue sky.

The blue sky filled with clouds that look like puffs of cotton.

In the Mountains

We went for a 15 day trip to a place called Munsiari in the Himalayas. It was a 13 hour car journey from the railway station. The place was breathtakingly beautiful. I don't think any photograph can match up to the experience of actually being there.

The road.

The veiw from the top of a ridge.

An ice-capped mountain.

A path we climbed on.

The mountains- An early morning view.

Mist approaching.

We camped out for 2 days. These are our tents.

The sun rising over the top of a mountain.

This is at the level where there are no trees.

Flowers- strange and beautiful

Sparkling Raindrop

I got this picture quite by chance. It had just rained and I set out to get pictures of the drops. Later while I was looking at the photos I noticed this beautiful one hanging at the end of a leaf.

Dancing Lights

I took these pictures in the evening when it was almost dark. I shook the camera while taking them so the lights in the picture made patterns.

The green background is a lawn.

A distant but bright street light along with other tinier lights.

The sweeping motion makes it look like a river of lines.

Solar Eclipse

On the 22 of june my family and I all got up at 5 in the morning to see the solar eclipse. It was the first I had seen and I managed to get this shot. Unfortunately from where we were in Delhi only a partial eclipse could be seen. But still it was quite an experience.

Shadows

My mother was reading and light was coming in from the window on the side. I liked the silhouette it made.

The shadow of a few leaves. They look like a shadow waterfall.

The trunk of a palm tree with the shadow of its leaves.

The Sky

The tiny plane just shows how vast it all is.

Shafts of light coming from behind a cloud.

This picture of a sunset was taken by my father.

Grey clouds just before rain.

Smoky patterns

I had read about smoke photography on the internet but didn't have the special lighting and settings needed. But I tried it anyway, with only the camera's flash and an incense stick. And I was happy with the results.

Texture

I really liked the texture of the cloth and the wooden button.
