Silhouettes

These are photos of my brothers as they jumped against a background of an open balcony door. We were experimenting with the different kinds of jumps that they could do. I had taken about a hundred pictures of which only two or three were any good. It is little hard to capture the right moment and the majority of the pictures were clicked either too soon or too late. But I was lucky and found these two good ones among the others!

Ghost!

I took this picture with a long exposure (15 seconds I think) and made my brother get up in the middle after a few seconds. The result- he looks transparent in the final picture!
Its quite simple really and lots of fun to try out. You can also control how transparent you want your ghost. If your subject leaves the frame after 3 seconds he will be more transparent than if he leaves after 8 seconds.
So go ahead and create your own ghost!

Pineapple top

 

I noticed this beautiful pattern created by the leaves (or crown) on top of a pineapple just before it was thrown away. It is amazing how something as ordinary as this can look so good in a photo. Also, I'm sure nobody looks at the pattern of the leaves as they cut up a pineapple. Just think of how many interesting things escape our notice everyday!
